COMMON INTERESTS
REASON FOR TAKING THIS CLASS
Looking through other people's reasons for taking this course, I found several students who stated they are only taking this course to fulfill an elective credit. However, there are also people who share similarities with me in regards to wanting to learn and explore new types of media in the growing digital age.

SOCIAL MEDIA
There was no surprise here when I saw a lot of people use the very popular social media platforms such as FaceBook, Twitter, and Instagram. It was less common to see people use social media for entertainment purposes such as websites like YouTube, Reddit, or Twitch and see more people list social media that kept them connected to other people.

ENTERTAINMENT
Netflix was probably the most recurring media listed from the websites I looked at it. This doesn't surprise me as it is more convenient to stream movies and TV shows on your own schedule than to watch a show at a designated time on TV.

Spotify seemed to be the most common music player other students are using. Some students also use SoundCloud to discover less popular artist.
